We recently had a 5x8 in-ground interior shelter installed in our garage. We couldn’t be more pleased. From the coordination during the purchase to the scheduling of the installation to the final product everything was done smoothly and professionally. The crew performed the installation in one day! This included cutting out the hole in the concrete in our existing garage, removing the concrete and dirt, positioning the shelter, pouring concrete around the shelter, finishing the concrete around the outside of the shelter, and cleaning up. We feel so much safer knowing we have an in-home shelter if a really bad storm comes. This company makes and installs a great product. I highly recommend them if you need a storm shelter.

When we moved to our new house, my wife insisted on an in-ground tornado shelter in the garage. I checked out several products, and SteelSafe was the product of highest interest. The crew worked really hard during the installation to make sure that it was installed within two days, it was installed properly, and that our home was cleaned up after they were finished. We had one hiccup where the dumpster service cracked our driveway, but Chris was very proactive in getting it resolved. We are very happy with our purchase, and recommend SteelSafe to anyone looking for an in-ground shelter. We had an awesome experience getting our storm shelter installed in our garage today. The crew started around 9:30 and worked hard until all their hard work was complete and our garage and driveway was absolutely clean. All of the guys were very professional and friendly...we could not be more pleased. We are so glad that we decided to go with this company!

The instillation of our shelter was amazing! Terry and his crew arrived and begin working around 9:15AM. Professionalism is a perfect work to describe how Terry and crew preformed. One of crew had a broom, shovel, or hose in their hand at all time cleaning our garage during the process. I certainly would recommend Steelsafe Shelters, Albertville, to install a shelter. It happens so often that a customer will take the time to write about the problems that they had with a job, but not take the time to say a job has been very well done. Robert was very prompt and diagnosed the problem with my generator immediately. I have had my whole home generator for over 18 months and it has never activated when the electricity went out. Instead, I continually got messages on the system showing over crank or stopped alarm error. Each time this occurred I contacted the company that installed it and always followed their directions to no avail. When a friend recommended A-Lectric I called immediately and am so glad I did. This past weekend my electricity went out several times for short periods. The generator kicked on each time. I finally feel the investment in a generator is giving me peace of mind and I have someone I can call if I do have a problem. Thank you, Robert and the A-Lectric team. You are the Best!

I don't usually post comments on services, but I was left absolutely amazed at the outstanding service that I received today. I am big on customer service and the team that installed my shelter today not only installed my shelter with quality precision, attention to the tiniest details and continuous cleanliness, they did so with great attitudes and positivity despite the blistering heat. I have never seen contractors work so hard and in such a careful thoughtful way. If you need an install, I highly recommend you request the crew (Carlton, Kendal and Mike) from CNS Building Service. These guys were outstanding!
Carlton and his crew went so far beyond anything I believed as a fair expectation of a quality job I now couldn't see a project that I wouldn't just wait till he could do it. We found him and his crew to be contentious. Also the unwillingness to pass over the smallest detail was simply amazing! Feel free to use us as a reference on your product.

As a professional home inspector, I researched several of the local tornado shelter installers and decided on Steel Safe to install their shelter in my home. We have had storm damage on several occasions and this gives me a great peace of mind to finally have a safe haven during bad weather. I spent all day watching the installation of my storm shelter, and the crew was more than happy to answer all my questions. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, safety design, and install integrity that went into this installation. When they were done, everything was wiped down by hand, the shelter and my garage were sparkling clean. Keep in mind, this was not an empty garage, but one full of stuff, like any normal family, and they worked around it all and kept things clean. The irony to all of this, is an hour after they left my house, the weather alert radio starts going off and we are under a tornado watch all night. Its February 2014, and North Alabama is already having tornado weather!
